Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko have discussed strengthening cooperation in various fields, including economics and agriculture, which they believe has been especially positive in past years.
Welcoming the signing of a bilateral visa-free deal, President Lukashenko called the document "historic”. Lukashenko suggested creating joint business enterprises and the provision of training for local populations in skills necessary for better rural development.

PM Kvirikashvili thanked President Lukashenko for his country’s support during last year’s massive forest fire that broke out in Georgia’s Borjomi Gorge and praised Belarusian rescuers for their professionalism.
Kvirikashvili also thanked Lukashenko for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Praising the high responsibility of the government of Georgia, Lukashenko said he believes it is this characteristic that will make all fields of mutual cooperation will successful for both Georgia and Belarus.
