Jan-Feb 2018: Georgia’s protected areas attract 31,892 visitors

Georgia’s protected areas are becoming popular tourist spots, hosting 31,892 in the first two months of 2018, announces Georgia’s Agency of Protected Areas.

In January-February 2018 the number of guests visiting Georgia’s protected areas increased by 48 percent compared to the same months of 2017, statistics show.

The statistics show that 59 percent of visitors were Georgians and 41 percent were foreigners.

In the first two months of 2018 Georgia’s most visited protected areas were:

  • Tbilisi National Park
  • Kazbegi National Park
  • Prometheus Caves
  • Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park
  • Lagodekhi Protected Area
