The Georgian Ministry of Justice and its Service Development Agency have created an application to help Georgian citizens calculate their days in the Schengen Zone and avoid the violation of the terms of legal stay.

The application, called Schengen/EU App, is managed by the Foreign Ministry and can be easily downloaded onto smartphones.

With the help of the application:

  • Mobile users will mark the beginning of their trip to the Schengen Zone and the application will calculate the number of days of legal stay and remind them about the expiration of the term, which is 90 days in any 180-day period.
  • The users will be able to save their travel history via the app.
  • Mobile users with the app downloaded will be able to share their travel history on social networks.

The application has an interface in three languages: Georgian, English and Russian.

The app is only meant to help people avoid violating travel terms and regulations and has no legal force.

The app was created with the help of the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the EU and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development.
