Interior Ministry opens regional conference on transnational narcotics crimes

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened the regional conference against transnational drug crime today, bringing together law enforcers from 11 nations.

The conference is taking place with the aid of EU support which aims to reduce the scales of organized drug crimes in the region. 

Deputy Interior Minister Kakha Sabanadze thanked the EU for its support and stated that organized crime and especially organized drug crime is a serious concern for many countries in the region. 

The conference’s goal is to improve the fight against organized drug crime through joint efforts.

Delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania and other nations are taking part in the event.
