Champagne House Veuve Clicquot annually gives a traditional award in 27 countries worldwide for innovative thinking, bold ideas and bending stereotypes.
To win one of the most prestigious prizes for business women in the world the national jury selected four nominees: Nino Kvernadze (founder director of the company Udabno), Tamar Chigogidze (co-founder and CEO of radio-holding Fortuna), Tinatin Rukhadze (co-founder and executive director of Research-Consulting Company ACT) and Tamar Baghdavadze (Hotel Coste and Green Tower founder and director).
The award is given to women who have contributed much to the diversification of the business sphere, and to assess their success, first of all, we consider the characteristics of Madame Clicquot: entrepreneurial instinct, financial success, social responsibility and innovative qualities”, said Dorothée Chedeville.
The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was founded in 1972 and pays homage to Madame Clicquot, one of the first women to establish herself as a leading female figure in the business world.
The archive of the French Champagne House Veuve Clicquot keeps a document which says that back in the 19th century 1,500 bottles of champagne were ordered from Georgia.
