The ruling Georgian Dream party endorsed presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili and the opposition candidate Grigol Vashadze have already cast their votes in the presidential election runoff.
Zurabishvili made a short comment for the media after casting her ballot at the Mtatsminda district polling station in central Tbilisi and stated that she voted for the “most European presidential candidate.”

I voted for a peaceful, united and smiling Georgia,” Zurabishvili said.
Vashadze stated in Kutaisi in western Georgia where he cast his vote that the Georgian citizens, who are doing their utmost to preserve Georgian statehood, will make a right choice.

He claimed that the country has no time to spend “unreasonably, uselessly and imprudently.”
Zurabishvili defeated Vashadze in the first round of elections on 28 October.
However, as she was unable to receive more than 50 per cent of votes, a second round of voting was scheduled.
