Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and First Lady Maka Chichua have participated in an event devoted to 100 years since the end of World War I in Paris with other world leaders.
Leaders of more than 100 countries including the US president Donald J. Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, gathered in Paris to walk with the President of France Emmanuel Macron to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a memorial to France's fallen under the Arc de Triomphe.
In his speech President Macron urged leaders to reject nationalism saying they have to unite their efforts to fight for peace.
“Ruining this hope with a fascination for withdrawal, violence or domination would be a mistake for which future generations would rightly find us responsible,” he said.
After the event President Margvelashvili and Maka Chichua attended an official dinner hosted by the President Macron at the Élysée Palace.
