A currency exchange booth was robbed by a man at the crossing of Gorgiladze and Melikishili streets in Batumi last evening.
The exchange booth employee claims the robber asked her to exchange currency before robbing her.
The robber fell nearby and was detained by citizens, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported later.
An investigation into the matter has been launched.
