EU ambassador plays drums with Georgian musicians in Batumi at the Europe Day [VIDEO]

Carl Hartzell  was appointed in the role in early September.

Newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union in Georgia Carl Hartzell played drums with Georgian singer Natia Todua and the Vakis Parki Band at the Batumi Europe Day this weekend. 

The concert was a culmination of a great day we and our partners had in this Black Sea city, the 6th Europe Day this year. And yes, he rocked it!” EU representation in Georgia wrote. 

Hartzell was appointed in September 2018, replacing Janos Herman in the role. 

As the EU's top diplomat in the country, Hartzell oversees the bilateral relationship between the European Union and Georgia, and the work of the delegation including political and economic affairs as well as cooperation, EU in Georgia webpage reads.
