Hundreds of people gathered in Alexander Garden in central Tbilisi today to celebrate Europe Day.
The weather was a little drizzly however crowds of people still turned up an enjoyed a number of entertaining events.

Folk dance and vocal groups from European countries provided light entertainment for guests and gave people the chance to learn more about life in other European countries.
All Embassies from EU member countries based in Georgia took part in today’s celebration. Each Embassy ran a stand where people could learn more about the culture and tradition of each nation.

Greeting speeches were provided by Tbilisi Mayor Davit Narmania, head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Georgia Janos Herman and Georgia’s State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakradze.
The event was fun for Georgia's youngest citizens too. A special 'FunBus' has kept children entertained all day.
