Georgia has become the first Eastern European country to welcome the new affordable but chic hotel brand of Moxy by Marriott International.
This is the newest hotel by Marriott International that focuses on the rapidly growing 3-star-tier market by offering a combination of top service, smart design and affordable prices.
Moxy Tbilisi officially opened in Georgia’s capital today, however it has been operational since March of 2018.
The total cost of the project was $25 million.
The new Moxy Hotel boasts 130 rooms and is located at Saarbrucken Square, formerly known as Vorontsov Square, a historical site in the old city.
The new hotel will feature two iconic buildings that are landscaped around four outdoor pools, including one infinity-edged pool, luxury tropical gardens and a grand seafront lawn.
Georgian Infrastructure Minister Maia Tskitishvili attended the opening ceremony of Moxy Tbilisi hotel today and said she wishes Moxy hotels to be opened in different regions of Georgia as well.
Tskitishvili said that over 200 hotels have been built in Georgia in 2015-2018, while another 200 are planned to be opened in the next three years, which all together will bring an additional 36,000 beds to Georgia’s hospitality sector.
