“This was a meeting with a strategic partner and friend. As emphasised at the meeting, US-Georgia relations have never reached such a high level as now and the US support towards Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity has been reaffirmed once again,” PM Bakhtadze said.
Bakhtadze plans to meet with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on September 20. Several meetings with US senators are also planned during the visit.
PM Bakhtadze will deliver a speech to participants of the 73rd General Debate at a session of the UN General Assembly on September 27 and attend the opening ceremony of the session as well.
