OSCE Secretary General visits Tskhinvali occupation line

OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger has visited the occupation line with the Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region, near Odzisi village - a temporary settlement for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Greminger has also met with the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) and acquainted himself with issues on the ground that have come about as a result of occupation and the severe situation concerning human rights and security in occupied Tskhinvali and Abkhazia.
During his first official visit to Georgia Thomas Greminger also had a meeting with President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, Georgian PM Mamuka Bakhtadze and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani.
Secretary General for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Thomas Greminger has begun his first visit to Georgia today.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has discussed conflict and security issues with Secretary General of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger, who has visited Georgia for the first time.
The European Council has extended the mandate of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM Georgia) by two years, until December 14, 2018.
