The US State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) continues to support the Canine Drug Interdiction Programme in Georgia.

INL-Georgia donated two Toyota LC-78 vehicles to the Canine Drug Interdiction Programme of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Patrol Police yesterday.

These specially outfitted vehicles will be deployed to the airports in Kutaisi and Batumi to safely transport drug interdiction canines to/from the airports and other locations”, read the press-release published by the US Embassy in Georgia.

Additionally, the vehicles can be used by the Patrol Police in times of emergency to ford streams and cross rugged ground, as necessary, to respond to disasters or crises.
