Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says that his country has already elaborated a draft to ease travel regulations between Georgia and Ukraine.
We already handed the draft of the document to Georgia in December,” Groysman told journalists after his meeting with Georgia’s Parliament Chairperson Irakli Kobakhidze in Kyiv.
Kobakhidze stated that he discussed current bilateral relations between Georgia and Ukraine with the PM and spoke about ways that could enhance current relations further.
Both sides stated the meeting was fruitful. Photo by Parliament of Georgia press office.
Both officials stated that Georgia and Ukraine enjoy a very good partnership and the frequency of the visits of Georgian officials to Ukraine and vice versa indicate the existence of a positive dynamic.
Kobakhidze stated that none of his meetings in Ukraine mentioned Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili and his possible extradition to Georgia, as the issue was not a priority from a political point of view.
Kobakhidze said Saakashvili’s case needed to be settled by legal structures.
