Georgia’s Public Service Hall is improving gift pacs for newborns within its ‘Welcome’ scheme.
All financially challenged parents will receive a 20 GEL voucher and 50 percent discount cards on baby care and food products in addition to a special starter kit, that includes clothe and hygienic products for newborns.
The gift pack is expanding thanks to a memorandum signed today between Georgia’s Public Service Hall and pharmacy network Pharmadepot.
The ‘Welcome’ scheme was introduced in 2016. Since then all socially vulnerable families receive a special starter kit when they register their new babies at any of the country’s 19 Public Service Halls.
So far 4,130 people received gift packs within the ‘Welcome’ initiative. 68.35 percent of the beneficiaries were satisfied with the gifts, while 6.84 percent said the package needed improvement. 24.81 percent shared willing to add baby care and hygiene products to the gift pack.
Gift packs will be given to parents when they visit a Public Service Hall to get their baby’s birth certificate.
