A new recording by Georgian singer SALIO has been selected as the winning song of the month for the Akademia Music Award competition and will be on air to millions of listeners throughout the United States and beyond.
Jury of the US-based contest unveiled the young artist’s song I Know You Know Me as winner of the Best Song nomination for Pop category for the month of May this week.
Picked from submissions by over 100 artists, the track was praised by the judges for its diversity in sound.
Salio has created a vehemently-voiced pop classic that smoothly alternates between saturated instrumentality and intense lyrical sallies”, said a summary for the selection.
The win means SALIO’s song will be played on air by stations in US cities including Los Angeles and New York as well as London in the United Kingdom.
She will also be considered for the Artist Of The Year title at the 2017 Akademia Gala Event, to be held in spring of 2018.
The awards are held with nominations in over 25 music categories and five types: song, full album, extended play, music video and live performance video.
