Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has expressed his deep condolences towards the families of those who died in a plane crash near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan today.
The plane was supposed to make a stopover at Manas, near Kyrgyzstan’s capital of Bishkek, on its way from Hong Kong to Istanbul when the Turkish cargo jet crashed early this morning.
I express my sincere condolences towards the families of the deceased, our friends the Kyrgyz and Turkish people and their governments”, Georgia’s Prime Minister said.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also expressed his condolences to his Kyrgyz counterpart, Erlan Abdildaev.
Foreign media reported the crash killed more than 30 people including the crew. Most of them were residents of a village who were struck by the Boeing 747 as it tried to land in dense fog and poor visibility.
