Books in Tbilisi metro surprise travellers

Travelling across the Saburtalo line this morning, commuters of Tbilisi metro received books and invitations to attend World Book Day festival this Sunday, April 23.

Sharing the unique presents with commuters, the campaign initiated by Tbilisi City Hall, Tbilisi Transport Company, online book house Saba, publishing houses Intelect and Artanuji aims at promoting reading habits among Georgians while commuting.

The organisers say free public buses will run between 15:30 and 16:30 from Freedom Square to the pantheon on Sunday where the guests will listen to lectures on prominent Georgian writers and buy various books on sale.
