An official agreement has been signed between Georgian Airways and Bratislava Airport on establishing direct flights that will boost tourism.
The agreement was signed at yesterday’s reception dedicated to the reception for the 28th anniversary of the Gentle Revolution in Czechoslovakia hosted by Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze and Slovakian Ambassador to Georgia Rudolf Michalka.
Despite the difficulties, Slovakia kept on moving towards Europe and freedom and through its hard work, and peaceful path, it achieved the choice the Slovak people made”, Foreign Minister Janelidze said.
Janelidze said this is a great motivation for Georgia to keep on moving on the path of freedom, and democracy.
This is the decision that the Georgian people have made since the restoration of independence and despite certain obstacles it has managed real success”, Janelidze said.
Janelidze further added that he is proud that Georgia is an EU-associated country that means the country is oriented towards democratic values, protection of human rights, stability and interests of its citizens.

Positively assessing relations between the two countries, their political, cultural, trade-economic and public relations, Minister Janelidze said the parties are actively working on deepening this cooperation.
For his special merit in deepening cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia, Slovakian Ambassador Michalka awarded Slovakian special consul to Georgia Besarion Kvartskhava.
