Music enthusiasts from dozens of countries are set to flock to Tbilisi for two shows of Iceland's iconic singer and songwriter Björk next week, with the date at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre already sold out.
The Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Tuesday fans from 26 countries had purchased tickets for the performances, with 16 percent of the total transactions from outside Georgia.
The list of countries includes neighbouring countries Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey as well as locations in Europe, the United States, the Mediterranean and beyond.

Tickets for the November 3 show at the Tbilisi Concert Hall venue were sold out days following the announcement of the celebrated artist's tour to Georgia.
The October 31 appearance at the Opera and Ballet Theatre is still available for attendance, with tickets on sale through the tkt.ge website.
On her first visit to Georgia, the multiple MTV Video Music Awards- and BRIT Awards-winning artist will perform at the two venues with the string musicians of Georgia’s Philharmonic Orchestra.
The shows will take place as part of the second edition of the Stream of Unconsciousness (SOU) Festival, which opened in Tbilisi earlier this year.
While in Georgia, Björk will also learn about national and ethnic music in the country by travelling to regions including the mountainous Svaneti, western subtropical Guria and the winemaking province of Kakheti.
