Passengers of Tbilisi Metro will soon be able to ride public transportation with modern, more comfortable and newly-designed wagons.
Tbilisi Transport Company is continuing the modernisation of Tbilisi Metro wagons which will be introduced later this year.
More specifically, in total eight new modernised wagons will serve passengers in 2017, of which four wagons are already ready and they have been delivered to the Transport Company for utilisation.
Another four wagons will be ready in October, announced Tbilisi City Hall.

The modernisation of wagons includes capital repairs as well as the installation of modern systems, change of wagon interior and exterior, replacement of old lighting.
The driver’s cab is equipped with modern control devices. Control cameras of the driver’s platform have been installed for more safety. Internal surveillance cameras and new monitors have been installed in each wagon.
The old lights in the cabin have been altered with new, diode lamps. The new wagons will be equipped with special monitors and USB connectors for mobile devices.
