Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre has been nominated among the 26 favourites of the international jury that will compete for a prestigious European award on September 18 in Brussels, Belgium.

Per the webpage of Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (EFFE) the European Festivals Association (EFA) revealed the selection of the laureates from 715 festivals "for their exceptional quality, work, commitment and impact within their contexts and territories”.
The geographical reach, diverse festivals’ scope and diversity in arts disciplines, as well as a strong social engagement, are reflected in these 26 EFFE Laureates celebrating the diverse festivals’ community all over Europe”, Chairperson of the final EFFE Jury meeting Pawel Potoroczyn said.
Potoroczyn said he is "delighted with the result which is representative for the whole EFFE Label list covering 39 countries”.
This year’s Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre will run between September 18 and October 14 bringing some of the most acclaimed theatre productions from Europe together with the best of Georgia's stage art in this year's program.
