Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze has taken part in the 9th meeting of the informal ministerial dialogue of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau today.

Preparation for the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels scheduled for November 24, 2017 has been the main subject of the talks between the participants.

Minister Janelidze emphasised the special role of the European Union (EU) in regulating conflict and ensuring security. He also drew attention to the recent developments along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) between Georgia and its Russian occupied region of Georgia – Tskhinvali (South Ossetia).

During his visit to Moldova, Georgian Foreign Minister Janelidze met with the Moldovan President Andrian Candu and Vice Prime Minister Andrei Galbur.

European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn and the Deputy General Secretary of the European External Action Service, Jean-Christophe Belliard also attend the meeting.
