World Rugby head: “U20 championship in Georgia was outstanding success”

Chairman of World Rugby Bill Beauont sent a letter to Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili in which he thanked the Government of Georgia and the country’s rugby leadership for ensuring "top class” under 20 Championship. 

In the letter Beauont stressed that the World Rugby had no doubts over a high-level hosting of the event, but what really happened "exceeded all expectations.”

The tournament was outstanding success on many frons, particularly to relation to the level of facilities and services provided to the teams and officials,” Beauont stated. 
I can confidently say that the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship will live long in the memories of the players, their families and the many officials and supporters who traveled to Georgia and experienced the outstanding rugby,” he said.

Beauont stressed the world rugby received feedbacks from participating states about the tournament in Georgia and they were "overwhelmingly positive.” 

He stressed Georgian rugby would have a strong support from the World Rugby Union.
