Georgian mineral water Borjomi will soon be available in 0.33 litre aluminum bottles, representing innovation and a new standard in the country’s bottled water industry.

IDS Borjomi, one of the largest natural mineral water producers in Georgia, started bottling Borjomi in aluminium cans today.

Director of IDS Borjomi Zaza Kikvadze said the main direction of the company’s strategy was to implement innovative projects and one example of this approach was the innovative packaging of Borjomi.

Research on the Georgian [market] as well as the export market showed that there was demand on aluminium packaging. We met the demand of our customers and started producing Borjomi in aluminium cans. Our target customers are young people at the age of about 20-30,” said Kikvadze.

He added that this innovation would enable Borjomi to gain more customers and establish new standards on the market.

Georgia’s Economy Minister Giorgi Gakharia today visited the first bottling plant of Borjomi to see the new line of production.

It is not necessary to explain what Borjomi means for Georgian exports and economy. We are sure that this new product will contribute to the company’s success and to Georgian export,” said Gakharia.

IDS Borjomi Georgia is one of the market leaders in Georgia’s bottled water industry, which has already established its best known brand names like Borjomi, Likani, Borjomi Springs, and Bakuriani.
