Rescuers save dog trapped in snow

A dog has been rescued today after being buried alive for several hours under a mound of snow in eastern Georgia.

Rescue officers from Georgia’s Interior Ministry saved the struggled animal in the Kabali Gorge in Lagodekhi district of eastern Georgia’s Kakheti region.
Three men fought to save the dog after a severe snow-storm hit the area.
"[The dog] was trapped in the snow and was doomed to die, but the rescuers managed to save [the animal],” representative of the Interior Ministry’s Public Relations Department Tato Kuchava wrote on Facebook.

Rescuers have saved a roe deer in the town of Tsageri, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, in west Georgia earlier today. The roe deer had fallen into the Tskhenistskali reservoir and could not get out of the water.
