United Arab Emirates official: Kvirikashvili’s Gov’t will secure Georgia’s advancement

A high official from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is congratulating Georgia’s Prime Minister on a "convincing victory” in the country’s Parliamentary Elections.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development congratulated Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the ruling team’s victory in a phone conversation last night.
The UAE high official believed the Government, headed by Kvirikashvili, would secure a successful development and advancement of the country and lead to intensified cooperation with the UAE.
Kvirikashvili said the Arab emirate was "a great friend” of Georgia and bilateral relations between the two countries had a "genuinely great future”.
An official from the United States (US), Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Tom Marino released a statement following Georgia’s elections, saying the vote was free, fair and competitive.
Looks forward to working with new Gov’t, Parliament
The United States congratulates the people of Georgia for the successful completion of this Sunday’s second round of the Parliamentary Elections, which affirm Georgia as a leader of democratic reform in the region.
United States Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly has stated he shared the view of international observing organisations that Georgia’s First and Second Rounds of Parliamentary Elections were mainly well organised and competitive, "reflecting the will of Georgian voters.”
The parliamentary runoffs in Georgia on October 30 were competitive and administered in a manner that respected the rights of candidates and voters, said international observers monitoring the second round of parliamentary elections.
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze hosted the General Secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCO), Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, today to discuss areas of strategic cooperation between Georgia and GCO member states.
"We have decided to double our investments in Georgia”, announced the Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Al Nahyan, today.
Georgia is seeking to establish a free trade agreement with the countries of the Gulf to access their markets and facilitate increased bilateral business and trade.Future free trade agreement with the Gulf countries was one of the main and important issues discussed at the meeting with Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili and the Minister of Economy of United Arab Emirates Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansuri.
The Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, who is visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE), says that Georgia and UAE have high potential to further enhance bilateral ties.
