Georgia is a leading country in the region for its effective implementation of public administration reforms, said the European Union (EU) Delegation to Georgia.
The EU Delegation to Georgia assessed Georgia’s reforms at today’s ‘Civil Service Reform: Development and Implementation of Civil Service Legislation’ conference, which took place in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi.
The conference was opened by the Government of Georgia’s deputy director Nino Kobakhidze, head of the EU Delegation to Georgia Janos Herman and the United Nation’s (UN) Resident Coordinator in Georgia Niels Scott.
Local governmental and non-governmental organisations, foreigner experts, representatives from Eastern Partnership countries, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) envoys and NATO officials attended the conference.
The EU high officials praised Georgia for its action regarding implementing the public service reform however said it was necessary for the country to develop legislation for public service regulation.
The conference was organised by Georgia’s Public Service Bureau and supported by the EU, NATO-Georgia Professional Development Programme (PDP) and USAID.
