Head of Georgia’s State Chancellery Maya Tskitishvili is in Latvia to discuss the country’s public services and how both countries can learn from the others’ experience.
Tskitishvili met her counterpart Martins Krievins in Riga today and spoke about a wide range of topics; from electronic governance to effective implementation and operation of services and more.
After the meeting it was revealed Latvia was interested in learning from Georgia’s experience as how it operated its public services. The Latvian official also expressed his readiness to support Georgia as it implemented the reforms and projects that promoted Georgia’s faster integration into the European Union (EU).
For me, as director of Latvia’s State Chancellery, it is an opportunity to learn about Georgia’s reforms, especially in the field of Public Service. We are also ready to share our experience with Georgia to support you to be soon assimilated with the European space,” Krievins said.
In response, Tskitishvili said Georgia and Latvia had a strong partnership and the countries were involved in several joint projects concerning public administration, electronic governance and in other related directions.
As you know Latvia has walked the same path Georgia is standing on now. So sharing your experience is very interesting and important for us,” Tskitishvili said.
The Georgian official stressed Latvia’s support was important as Georgia had such a clear vision of its European future.
