European Union (EU) Ambassador to Georgia Janos Herman strongly denounces the explosion of an opposition MP’s car in central Tbilisi last night, which injured five people.
"I condemn all types of violence. I want to call for peace to all parties and campaign participants,” he said.
As Georgia was striving to be part of the European Union, Herman said: "I think it’s very important to respect the principles that the EU recognises.”
He added he would like to see an election campaign compatible with democratic principles and respecting the will of the Georgian people.
