Parliamentary Elections:
25 parties and 6 blocs compete in October elections

Thirty-one election subjects including 25 political parties and six election blocs will compete in the Parliamentary Elections in Georgia on October 8.

The total number of participating parties are 42. Of this 25 will compete separately and the remaining 17 are distributed into six election blocs. 

Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) defined the sequence numbers for 26 election subjects using casting lots yesterday.

See how the numbers were distributed.

Meanwhile the sequence number for five election subjects remained the same as previous elections. These were:

  • №1 - Election bloc "Paata Burchuladze - State for People”
  • №3 - Election bloc "Nino Burjanadze - Democratic Movement”
  • №5 - Election bloc "United National Movement”
  • №8 - Election bloc "Davit Tarkhan-Mouravi, Irma Inashvili - Alliance of Patriots of Georgia, United Opposition"
  • №41 - "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia”
