A Georgian citizen missing since the July 14 deadly terrorist attack in the French coastal city of Nice has been found dead.
French authorities today officially confirmed one Georgian citizen was among the 84 fatalities of the attack, where a large truck zigzagged into revellers as they celebrated Bastille Day in a public celebration.
Georgia’s Foreign Ministry identified the Georgian victim as a man born in 1960.
The victim was a businessman who had lived in Belgium for several years.
He was in Nice to spend the holidays together with his wife, who was a French citizen. His wife was also killed in the attack.
The Georgian Consulate in France said the family have been informed about his death.
Georgia has offered its sympathies to the victim's family.
