The United Kingdom (UK) will continue supporting Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic intentions during and after the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s (NATO) 28th Summit in Warsaw, Poland.

Warsaw will be important both for Georgia and the UK, where there will be the first ever NATO-Georgia Commission held at a NATO Summit,” the British Embassy to Georgia announced.

The Embassy's statement stressed "this milestone” recognised the unique scope and depth of Georgia’s relationship with the Alliance, and "demonstrated the progress Georgia had made towards Euro-Atlantic integration.”

The Embassy also highlighted NATO remained at the heart of UK defence, and Great Britain’s commitment to collective defence and cooperative security through the Alliance remained as strong as ever.
