High level parliamentary delegations from nine different foreign states have come to Georgia to attend the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence, and to enhance bilateral ties.
Official delegations from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Israel, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Armenia and Turkey are currently in Georgia after being invited by Georgia’s Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili.
The delegations were composed of parliament speakers, vice speakers and lawmakers.
This morning the officials watched the oath taking ceremony of Georgian recruits at Freedom Square in central Tbilisi and listened to official speeches of Georgian top figures about one of the most significant days in Georgian history.
Over the coming days the foreign delegations were scheduled to hold meetings in Georgia’s Parliament to discuss prospects to enhance inter-parliamentary relations.
