Leading Austrian horticultural company Witasek is showing encouraging signs it will invest in Georgia’s agricultural sector.
The company’s managing director Peter Witasek told Austrian newspaper WirtschaftsBlatt/Karnten that Georgia had huge potential, particularly in the wine sector.
"Georgia may be the most promising country in Eastern European market,” he said.
The Austrian man explained his company preferred to use bio-products instead of chemicals for protecting plants. This was the reason why the company had become interested in Georgia’s agriculture sector.
Witasek believed Georgia had potential especially in the fields of winery and oenology (the study of wines).
"We provide our customers the latest technology for a great value, the best quality and all this for a reliable and sustained growth of your plants. Through permanent further development, we especially strive to ensure the health of plants through biological measures,” said Witasek.
Witasek is regarded as one of the largest companies in the world which works in plant protection.
The company’ official website described the business as one of the leading Austrian companies that was close with nature, mechanical and biological tree and vine protection.
