Tbilisi is ready to suitably host the UEFA Super Cup football game.
These words were spoken by Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili when he visited the renovated Dinamo Arena, the stadium to host the match on August 11.
Twenty million GEL was spent on the stadium rehabilitation, which included strengthening the stadium’s construction, changing the inner design, sounds, scoreboards, lighting and chairs.
"Our country will have one of the most modern stadiums,” Garibashvili said.
"The renovation process met all international criteria, everything was changed and we are ready to suitably host the Barcelona vs Sevilla game.”

A special governmental commission was in charge of the organisational issues related with the upcoming Super Cup match. Vice Prime Minister and former world class football star Kakha Kaladze was head of the commission.
This will be Georgia’s first time to host such an important football event.
The match will take place at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi on Tuesday, August 11. The capacity of the stadium is about 55,000.
