Georgia is preparing to host an official visit of members of United States (US) Congress.
The official US delegation will visit Georgia from July 2-5.
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Kereslidze today announced the delegation will include both Republican and Democrat members of US Congress.
The delegation will be led by Republican Congressman Peter Roskam and will encompass Congress members David Price, Tom Rice, Rob Woodall, Dina Titus and Lois Capps.
While in Georgia the US delegation will hold meetings with representatives of Georgia’s executive and legislative governments, including President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The American politicians will also meet with representatives of Georgia civil society, said Kereslidze.
He stressed the visit of the US officials reaffirmed the strong bipartisan support of Georgia within the US Congress.
