Romania’s Prime Minister is making time to enjoy a game of rugby when he visits the country later this week.
As well as attending various high-level meetings, Victor Ponta is scheduled to watch his nation challenge Georgia in the final game of the European Nations Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Ponta was invited to Tbilisi by Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The two leaders are scheduled to meet face to face, after which Garibashvili and other Georgian Government members will host Ponta at various events.
During his March 14-15 visit, Ponta will attend bilateral meetings with local officials and attend Saturday’s Georgia-Romania rugby match.
Within his visit, Ponta will also meet Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili.
The Romanian guest is also expected to go sightseeing in Mtkheta, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, located 20 kilometres north of Tbilisi.
