The anniversary of a friendship spanning more than 2600 years between Georgia and Israel will be celebrated in Georgia over three days.
The Georgia-Jewish friendship will be celebrated on October 21 - 23 this year.
The Organisational Committee of the anniversary met today at the State Chancellery of Georgia building under the guidance of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The Commission has decided on October 21, the National Museum of Jewish History will open permanently in Georgia. The exact location has not been announced.
During the three-day anniversary period, several cultural and sporting events and a science conference is also planned.
Various Government structures have participated in preparation for the celebration.
