Georgian Parliament Speaker meets Romania’s Vice-Premier

Following the Romania, Georgian Parliament Speaker will visit Hungary on February 11.

Support of Eastern EU countries at the next NATO summit is extremely important for Georgia, said Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili following a meeting with Romania’s Vice-Premier Gabriel Oprea in Bucharest today, February 11, 2014. 

Usupashvili believed Romania’s position was "unchangeable” and the country’s relations with Georgia was a priority.

"We also focused on the EU integration process of Moldova and Georgia and other possible themes and topics on which we will present the same position including the economic issues. There are special projects that will become discussed topics between the two countries’ Prime Ministers,” Usupashvili said. 

Furthermore, Georgia’s Parliament Speaker said Georgia would feel the benefits of close cooperation with the EU when relations are expected to intensify from EU member countries that border Georgia from other parts of the Black Sea. 

"Shortly, on this regard we will feel the positive influence on Georgia’s economic development,” he said. 

Following his visit to Romania, Georgia’s Parliament Speaker will visit Hungary on February 11.
