Georgia's Olympic athletes have taken an Olympic oath ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
The Georgian team, including flag bearer Nino Tsiklauri, pledged their support in front of members of the Olympic Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister’s special representative for relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze.
Georgian skiiers Tsiklauri, Iason Abramishvili and Alexi Beniaidze will travel together to the Olympic Games. The fourth and final member of Georgia’s Olympic athletic team, figure skater Elene Gedevanishvili, will join the team in Sochi on February 14.
The Georgian delegation will head to Sochi in two teams. The first group will leave today to manage administrative issues and the second, athletes team will depart on February 6, one day before the competition is set to begin.
