Adjara: Injured deer fawn rescued and treated

An injured deer fawn found wandering in farmlands has been nursed back to health in Georgia’s western Adjara region.

An injured deer fawn found wandering in farmlands has been nursed back to health in Georgia’s western Adjara region.

This afternoon a baby deer suffering leg injuries wandered away from its home in the forest near the Adjaristskali River. It was found by policemen in Keda, Adjara district in western Georgia.

Police rescued the young deer and took it to a local vet for medical treatment. The animal was given necessary first aid and taken to Batumi Zoo where it will stay while it recovers.

Specialists are now determining what action should be now taken.
