Georgian Vice-Premier urges peace for Ukraine

A Georgian official, who used to live in Ukraine, has urged the country to achieve peace.
Georgian Vice-Premier and Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze lived in Ukraine for three years and used to play football for FC Dinamo Kiev. He has commented about the turbulent conditions in Ukraine.
"The situation in the Ukrainian capital is terribly unfortunate. As we have heard, a lot of people have been injured during the confrontation. I want to urge everyone for peace, he said.
"Heads of the country as well as the opposition leaders should take full responsibility and a rational agreement should be achieved so that people do not suffer.
"We are deeply astonished. All of us here in Parliament have expressed our support toward the Ukrainian people.” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili.
Georgia’s Prime Minister said the current situation in Ukraine is deeply concerning, in a special statement this evening.
Georgian Parliament has banded together and issued a statement expressing its "extreme concern” over the continuing crisis in Ukraine.
Kakha Kaladze said the Georgian Government would respect the choice of Ukraine’s people regardless of any political decision.
