Georgian Vice-Premier urges peace for Ukraine

Kakha Kaladze calls the situation in Ukraine "terribly unfortunate."

A Georgian official, who used to live in Ukraine, has urged the country to achieve peace.

Georgian Vice-Premier and Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze lived in Ukraine for three years and used to play football for FC Dinamo Kiev. He has commented about the turbulent conditions in Ukraine.

"The situation in the Ukrainian capital is terribly unfortunate. As we have heard, a lot of people have been injured during the confrontation. I want to urge everyone for peace, he said.

"Heads of the country as well as the opposition leaders should take full responsibility and a rational agreement should be achieved so that people do not suffer.
