Georgia’s Independence Day is being celebrated in Georgian Embassies all over the world, Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told journalists today.
"This day belong to Georgia, which is why it is a public holiday. Celebrations will be held in 12 cities of Georgia and in my countries where Georgia has diplomatic representation. Every Embassy is celebrating Georgia’s Independence Day,” she said.
Panjikidze said tomorrow she would attend a reception in New York and on Wednesday would go to Washington.
At the same time, Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls accredited in Georgia will participate in festive celebrations held in Georgia today.
