The NATO Secretary General'sSpecial Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, James Appathurai posts about the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting on his official Facebook page.

Appathurai underlines that the Georgian State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Alex Petriashvili and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Davit Zalkaliani"made strong cases for a clear and unambiguous path for Georgia into NATO, based on Georgia's progress and ongoing reform.

"They heard a lot of congratulations around the table for all the recent progress, and strong commitments to Georgia's territorial integrity -- including when it comes to "borderization" by Russians - as well as to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration. In that regard, Georgia's initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU is an important step in making Georgia's Euro-Atlantic path irreversible, James Appathurai writes on his Facebook page.
