Tbilisi City Hall on Monday announced traffic would be restricted around Orbeliani Square, Dry Bridge, Deda Ena Park and the parking lot of the Public Service Hall in the capital starting on Monday to accommodate works for installation of end-of-year festivities.
The surrounding area of Orbeliani Square, Atoneli and Vakhtang Orbeliani streets would be partially closed from 6pm to 10pm on Monday.
The body said drivers heading from Soliko Virsaladze and Giorgi Chanturia streets towards Atoneli Street would be able to use Atoneli Street through Italy Street in the direction of the Dry Bridge, while from the Dry Bridge to Atoneli Street they can travel via Soliko Virsaladze and Giorgi Chanturia streets.
The City Hall also noted drivers departing from the right bank of Mtkvari River, in particular from Rena Abzhandadze Street, could move to Vakhtang Orbeliani Street and, then toward Mtkvari Street.
It additionally said from 10pm on Monday to January 10 the Dry Bridge and its surrounding area - Italy street, Grigol Orbeliani Square area and the road section from Giorgi Atoneli Street to 13, Vakhtang Orbeliani Lane would be “completely limited”.
The body added drivers heading from Saarbrucken Square to the Dry Bridge would be able to drive along the right bank of the Mtkvari River, while vehicles heading to Virsaladze Street from the right bank would be able to head to Atoneli Street, and then turn right towards Chanturia Street.
