The Belgian port city of Ghent hosted a presentation of Georgian wine at HoReCa Expo, a fair of the hotel, restaurant and cafe industry, with the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency, the body said on Tuesday.
Three producing companies and 10 of their varieties of wines were presented in the Chef’s Place section of the exhibition that featured “top chefs, sommeliers, bloggers and journalists”, it added.
The fair involved workshops, culinary competitions and seminars, with tens of thousands of attendees.
The national body also said the presentation was coming as part of targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the US, Europe and Asia since 2013 for the purpose of market diversification for national wine.
