Azerbaijani PM congratulates Georgian counterpart on reappointment as Georgian Prime Minister

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov on Thursday congratulated his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze, on his reappointment on the position following a vote of confidence by the Parliament on the heels of parliamentary elections held last month.

In his congratulatory letter, the official emphasised the strategic partnership between the two countries and dynamics of development of bilateral cooperation.

 I wholeheartedly congratulate you on your re-appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia. We are full of pride with growing dynamics of relations with our friendly and reliable partner, Georgia. Our countries are historically rooted and fruitfully cooperate in mutually beneficial areas, bilaterally and in multilateral formats”, Asadov said.

 We express our readiness to promote expansion of existing relations and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia, which is based on friendship, mutual respect and support in the future”, he added.

Concluding his letter, the Azerbaijani PM also wished the Georgian PM “success during your new mandate, for the benefit of the fraternal Georgian people”.
