Transavia France, a French budget airline, is set to commence direct regular flights between Paris and Tbilisi from April 9, 2025, offering two services to passengers a week, the United Airports of Georgia said on Wednesday.
Maia Omiadze, the Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, said the addition of Transavia France to the Georgian market would contribute to increased awareness of the country and attract a greater number of travellers.
The European Union countries, particularly France, are important strategic markets for the Administration. We actively participate in marketing campaigns in France. Each year, representatives from the Georgian private sector visit a French tourist exhibition to hold meetings and foster relationships with their partners”, she said.
Established in 2006 and jointly owned by Air France and Dutch Transavia, the airline bases its operations at Orly Airport in Paris.
